How do you keep your shit together?

I'm wigging out! I'm not going into particulars as to why, but I NEED to keep a cool head. How do you talk yourself down from an overreaction? I need to be a calm, zen, detached goddess. When all I want to do is be hysterical and upset. I've jumped to a conclusion and can't get down. Give me your calming tips please.

I go for a drive. Can’t message or call anyone and lose my shit then. When it’s really bad I go to the one place I know I don’t get reception and sit there for as long as I need, taking in everything around me.

Go for a walk. Any kind of distraction that involves physical activity really. But a power walk with some music blaring through my earphones is a perfect reset for me.

Oh I second this! A walk gives you time to analyse the situation and helps you to not just react emotionally! Is helps me to fight in my head and rehearse what I want to say. And breathe it really helps to calm you!
