What are you doing with your school aged kids who are on holidays?

I want to do thins cheap or free feels like we have sat around the house lost of the time

I take it one day at a time. Yesterday we went on a bike ride then to the pool, the day before we were at home playing outside reading books and playing with toys.

Today I need to walk into town with them for an appointment and then we will most likely head to the park before walking home

My daughter and I brainstormed some fun ideas, wrote them down and put them in a bowl. Each day she pulls an idea from the bowl to decide what to do.

Going out for lunch

Going to the pool today other things we have done these holidays include fishing, going to the bike track, visiting the art gallery, swimming in the creek and the dam, kayaking, went to the beach, picnic at the park, the zoo, went out for breakfast, went to the movies, went for a walk at the lookout, made bath bombs, made giant bubbles, had dessert for breakfast, had a water fight, had a nerf gun fight, cooking.

Theme parks, but taking your own food and drink, to reduce the horrendous food and drink costs. I still let them buy some, but they always seem to be hungry on outings.

Picnic trips to a park or beach. Loads of food of lots of variety. Full thermos of strong coffee for me.
