Baby formula

Answered 4 years ago

Baby won't drink formula, I've tried sma and karicare. Do they all taste the same? Is there one that tastes "nicer" that their breastfed fussy babies liked?

Are you sure its not a reflux issue? Maybe ask ur maternal child and health nurse wat she recommends.

No, they've been fully breastfed till six months, but my maternity leave is up and they hate the bottle, any bottle, and I've been trying to give formula in a cup and they hate that too, even mixing it into baby cereal, they just HATE it 😢
I should have prepared for this earlier! And not old enough to go without milk yet either! I'm really stressing over them being hungry at daycare and upset because there's no boob!

Im glad its not reflux, my son had it and it I was horrible for him. I guess the only thing you can do is try all of them which is costly but it maybe a case of elimination until one 'fits'. Sorry I cant help my youngest is no longer a baby anymore, its been a long time since I bottle fed. :(

This won’t be what you want to hear but, my first born, breastfed baby hated all bottles and formula and expressed breastmilk. I had to extend my maternity leave to keep feeding him as when I did return to work he refused all forms of milk. He ripped my shirt off when I got home and fed for over an hour. He was happy and content without me during the day, and was eating solids and drinking a little water. But he didn’t want a bar of anything that resembled milk unless it came straight from the source 🤣

I'm afraid this is my case. Hates bottles, hates the sippy cup but will take a little bit from it in desperation. Hate express milk, formula, arghhh. I really want to stay home longer but i settled for reducing my shifts, but it doesn't fix the problem! I'm glad bub really loves the boob though 😂

Looks like food and water in the day, breastfeed before and after work.
Is there someone who could bring Bub to work at lunchtime? (I know this is a long shot!)

Rule out a few things first: give them breastmilk in a bottle to see if the bottle is the problem.
My daughter wouldn’t take s26 but did take bellamy’s ten years ago from 11 months- she had been exclusively breastfed for 6 months too.
Can you express some and have solids in the day and still breastfeed night and morning?

Trial and error. Good luck!

Buy up ladies. Chinese naval vessels stopped in Sydney Harbour so they could dismount and load up on formula.
And before I'm accused, its absolute fact.

Aptamil Gold Plus is commonly used by the maternity unit, for babies that are under weight. I was not able to breast feed for my last 2 babies as my Iron levels were dangerously low and I was not producing sufficient nutrients for my babies.

Aptamil Gold Plus or S26

Lots use nan? Could try. Or it could be the bottles?
