Mansplaining - I work in a male industry and get looked over for promotions, have my work stolen and men refuse to work me - get asked why do I work ? Why do I want a promotion ? Basically why am I alive ? blah blah

When my Mum criticises my husband and it's so off base but when I disagree she will say "Oh you have to defend him" No I don't, you're just wrong!!

People who have no concept of debate, and only counter with irrational/personal criticisms. For example:
X: I didn't enjoy Frozen 2. I found the plotline hard to follow.
Y: You're a piece of shit. Frozen 2 is an icon to lots of children. Are you saying you hate children?
X: that's literally not what I said.....

When they try to bamboozle you with bullshit!! They know you’re right but go on a mindless rant to try and win the argument.

Biggest pet peeve is when someone discounts your feelings but expects you to put theirs front and centre. Not for debates where fact overrule but arguing with family, friends or partners.

When my husband is so sure he’s right and doesn’t want to listen to me he shakes his head and says patronisingly “ yes darling, but..” Fuck I hate being called darling. Makes me want to punch him.

People who will not listen to any other view because they're never, ever wrong. Not agreeing with them leads to arguments you can't win because they're only looking to prove you wrong - even by lying. When I don't capitulate it escalates, so I usually just don't engage.

The most frustrating part is that no matter the issue, you can never discuss & resolve it.

Mine would be a pet peeve my mum and husband would have regarding me. Its that I don't argue, I just nod my head and agree, then just do what I like regardless of what was discussed.

My peeves, when people interrupt instead of listening to your point of view. And something my mum does which annoys me.... confronts me about something and then when I defend myself she says ‘wish I didn’t bring it up now’ or just doesn’t respond at all. Frustration .
