I used to do the puzzles every week in that’s life and take 5 magazines. I won $1000 on a crossword and a few small money amounts and some toys. I won a fancy tea set once and it arrived broken and take 5 refused to help me out. The prizes are really crappy now so I haven’t bothered in a long time,

Not so much anymore. I used to win absolutely heaps, including a 30k car, flights, electronic equipment, toys, cinema/shopping vouchers, etc. At one point it was several a week. It's a cheap, fun hobby you can do from home, as long as you're careful.

I am considering getting back into it in a limited capacity & focusing on non-goods comps like holidays. I just don't get a thrill from winning random stuff anymore as it just clogs up my house! Also it takes time to read T&C's to make sure they can't sell my details to spammers. Email I don't care - I've a dedicated email address - but I won't risk my phone number being sold to telemarketing companies!!

where/how did you enter these?

You can find some websites that list comps. I prefer community ones where compers share comps. A lot of commercial ones list the sponsored comp ads designed to get your details.

Also search around for smaller sites/blogs that have prizes & subscribe to emails. Especially local ones. Less people = more chance.

Look around. You'll start to see comps everywhere. Some require product purchases, or you to spam your friends, so don't get carried away! Supermarket products, magazines (often list comps on website, don't require proof of purchase), Facebook etc.

Google tips for winning comps. Especially 25wol comps. They're an art form! Definitely no sob stories!

I won a JetSki on women’s weekly, and a few smaller prizes (250 cash, a years supply of nappies lol, a hamper thing, and $50 about 5 or 6 times)
I won a tv from monopoly on MacDonald, not from eating it but just posting if anyone had any time give.
I play lotto once a month and I won a 1.7million lotto, but was 250k after tax and 5 or us won it.
I win meat raffles at least twice a year lol. And the school have low key joked I’m not allowed to enter raffles cos I always win 🤑
When my youngest is in school I will go back to the woman’s weekly Type magazine prize draws again
I just don’t have the spare hour for it.
It’s worth it though. And fun.
I’m also going to start entering in the prize home stuff.
