I had a MIL who I thought was great. I had two kids from a previous marriage and she seemed to welcome us with open arms. Affection, gifts, check-up texts. Then after having our daughter earlier this year I find out what she really thought about me. The term “money hungry woman” was used. I told my partner. He told me that I have to sort it out with her. I did sweet FA to her. Since he wasn’t willing to stand up for me, I left him. He is such a mummy’s boy. She can have him.

OMG.. sometimes i get that feeling that my husband lacks the b*lls to stand up for me. I did have a similar situation like yours not too long ago, i have a son from previous marriage and it seemed like they were all welcoming and giving us food and whatever. But later on, I overheard MIL saying that why does she always need to give him food (What the??!).. husband said just don't mind them.. i shouldn't have let it go!

I am a Catholic, MIL is not. Keeps on insisting that I would join their church which I refuse since I have always been Catholic since birth. She bad mouth's my religion saying it's not the proper one and "I will not be saved". That's just one of her favorite things.. apart from knocking on our door, saying her son does not have proper blanket..

Mine said had plans Xmas day after we invited her to spend the day with us. So we invited her over for lunch Boxing Day. She turned up 2 hours late with some random guy she said helped her paint her house on Xmas day because she had nothing better to do. Just one example of her work.
