Because everyone thinks the way they live is the right way, and because people don't like to see people doing better than they are. Everyone is guilty of this.

Majority are guilty. There are many people who actually spend time in their lives volunteering and contributing time, money and resources to help improve the lives of others!

Because it makes them question them selves, or feel jealous. They would rather tear someone down than seeing someone happy or successful. Tall poppy syndrome.

My friend calls her cats her fur babies
She buys the cats birthday and Christmas presents
My friend had to have a hysterectomy 10 years ago when she was 22
Her life doesn’t affect my life and she treats my kids like they are her biological nieces and nephews and my kids call her Aunty

Some people don’t understand that there are different ways of doing things. That there isn’t always a right or wrong way and that it’s ok if people do it differently to you. There is a certain amount arrogance around people like this.
