I live in Victoria and our Premier isn’t keen to relax the rules he is waiting to see what happens in other States. A lot of people support him, we have come this far. Yes it is shocking how quickly we lost our freedom however, online schooling and working at home is working so why be in such a hurry? I would hate it more if we relaxed the rules then had to shutdown again.

Online schooling is not working for most people. It’s stressful. Not everyone has enough computers and iPads for each child. Some have young children at home that need to be supervised. Many people are trying to do home schooling and work from home. Domestic violence rates are going up. It is NOT working for many. Mental health is going down for many

Our school has said just do what you can and if it’s not much then at least just some reading and physical activity each day. They said our mental well being and health is the most important thing right now and to focus on family. We will do a catch up when school resumes. I don’t think they are expecting us to teachers

I sympathize for parents with young children, my kids are teens so yes from my perspective it’s really working well. Our house is big enough that we all have a home office set up in different rooms (Not bedrooms) and at the end of the day we can shut the door and move to other parts of the house so we are not still “at work”. I feel really productive, I am getting twice as much work done and I get to spend time with my family.

I’m getting absolutely nothing done I thought I would have more time not having to rush off to this activity and that but I’m drowning in school work

People are 'easing up' regardless of restrictions. I'm in QLD & on the weekend at the parks people were having picnics, using playground equipment, etc. My daughter's daycare/kindy told me half the kids are back. More people are out - it's almost business as usual. My DH's company is even bringing staff back to the office.

It's frustrating & makes me wonder why I'm bothering to stick to the rules.

Yes, because a lot of people have no bloody idea what common sense is. I went to the shopping centre for the first time in over a month today. If the public can't even work out how to walk without invading everyone's space we are all stuffed thinking they are going to use thier brains for anything more complicated. A man was coughing freely throughout Coles and I saw a female sniffing snottily and wiping her nose on her sleeve. FFS

People are filth. I saw some asshole guy discreetly coughing on supermarket shelves. I let security know. Not sure what happened to him, but given that he was discreetly coughing and not trying to be a dick, drawing attention, I wonder if he was sick. People like that need the sh*t beaten out of them.

Iv been in the shops and swallowed saliva the wrong way something I regularly do and now when I’m in the shops I secretly try and hide my coughing because when I didn’t people were rude and told be to “stay the fuck home”, or “piss off back home you inconsiderate asshole” was my favourite.
Disapproving head shakes “unbeleivable”
So yes I try and hide it lol

No. It's crazy they were able to take away our freedoms so easily and abruptly in the first place. And have people praising them for it.

The virus is here.
It won’t go away now.
We will have spikes for ever on now, we can’t shit down the country everytime it happens.
The are buying time to prepare for it which they’ve done and we have to be concerned about the economic fallout cos it will potentially end as many lives.
6 months to prepare the health system.
When the funding runs out will all go back to the new normal and what will be will be.

I think they should have waited a few more weeks before easing restrictions but they do have to start somewhere. It will be interesting to see what happens and what people do. I’m keen to get out but I’m going to keep staying home while waiting to see if easing the restrictions is working or if it will just make the numbers soar.

Yes, but it’s intentional. We’re headed to them wanting to implement herd immunity. They’ve not got all the ducks in a row, so we can handle an influx of cases.
