To a certain extent. Firstly it needs to be functional, and secondly I don't want to feel put off or depressed about going in there. Doesn't need to be styled with the latest Kmart items, but I don't want a grotty, mouldy, stinky room. Half our current laundry is used as extra pantry space, so needs to be sanitary. Don't need the fanciest washing machine or benchtops to achieve that.

Nope. As long as it's functional and in the same style as the rest of the house I'm not too fussed how fancy the shit is. Christ, I've got too many people to wash for to worry how shiny my shit is.

Yes, the same as any room in my house. It's not going to appear on any lifestyle magazine pages, but it means less work & no week old undies festering in a corner.
