Mine refuse to do any school work. I say school work or go to bed.
So they just go to bed. I cannot get them to engage at home at all with schooling. It better return asap

Try school work or clean the toilet/bathroom/laundry/etc that way its a win win for you no matter what they choose.

I wrote the comment. My kids are doing really well and doing all they should be doing but I still think in upper highschool years they would benefit so much more with a teacher in front of them and being able to have class discussions.

I wonder how they are allowed to do this???

My children are in a private school in Queensland and they invited all children to attend school as normal, it's so they don't have to pay back or suspend fees.
My children have to go either way because we are essential workers but still.. It's immoral in my opinion.

I think the definition of Private School is Immoral, right?

Hmmm...that is not how I interpreted that all at. The NSW Premier said no child would be turned away, not all children should attend. As for the more face to face time I figured they were referring to more real time videos (Zoom) instead of just a list of assignments. Will be interesting to see.

If they are all supposed to go back in week 3 my kids will not be going. It is too soon. I don’t care that they say kids are less likely to catch it. Kids have caught it and kids have died from it. And they can still pass the virus along.

I agree, I didn’t think he said we are back in weeks 3 at all. He said kids would be learning but not necessarily at school.

I've homeschooled for the last ten years. Just remember that once you start there is no teacher to supply the work for your children it is a full time job that requires alot of time and resources and research.
