I had them done for my wedding & then spent the next 3 days trying to get them off. I hated them. Really not my thing, i'm a practical woman they just get in my way. I don't really understand how people with young children have them.

Haha I'm similar, the day after my wedding I cut them all short, and they weren't that long to start with. Agree, they get in the way if they are long.

I dont like the look of really long bright nails to be honest. I mean everyones different but they grow so quick that it looks like it needs to be redone all the time and that just looks messy to me.

They need doing more often if you can see gaps etc. I have kids and do sports and farm work , they don’t get in the way because I am used to them

I get my fingernails done every 2.5 weeks. I have been getting my toes done as well the last couple of times but not doing that again. Just to save a little extra money for the budget.

Oh I go weekly, every Friday afternoon. I just have this thing about my nails always needing to look glam and glossy. I keep it simple though: french mani/pedi. Never change it. I love it because french goes with everything.

Paint my own nails once a week. I don't really like the feel of fake nails and I can't justify the cost of them when I am a bit messy and am always painting/ renovating, gardening etc!

Same. I occasionally trim them when they get long and use handcream. Thats it.

I've only had my nails professionally done once for my wedding at a small beauty business (not a mall shop). I'll occasionally paint my own nails if I'm going to a wedding or something, but otherwise not bothered. I like the look of nice nails, but overall I'm just not a nail/ hair/ makeup person.

I used to go to a nail salon, I went before my wedding. It was a one person operation, the lady was Chinese but there was definitely no ‘slave labour‘ as it was her own business. Her practices were not terribly hygienic. She didn’t clean her work space or tools between clients. Amazing I didn’t get a fungal infection. Despite that she was always very busy and it could be difficult to get an appointment.

My husband helps me with doing my toes once a month or so. I used to do them myself every Sunday, but now it's cooling down outside, my feet are less on display. Fuck painting filing and buffing every week just to shove them in joggers and boots.

Omg I am much more comfortable going to a salon than having hubby do them

My husband is really good at it. When he's at work he has to be very precise with his welding (he's a master boilermaker) so he's good at staying in the lines and not getting polish all over my feet. Plus he will sometimes massage my feet for me before he starts painting my nails. 10/10 would recommend.

Do them myself at home. That's just to keep them clean & tidy. I use my hands alot gardening, looking after our chickens etc so i don't bother with polish unless we're going out to a nice dinner or a party.

Those places stink i can't stand the smell of them walking past I don't know how people can work in there. I've seen too many stories about people getting weird fungal infections. No thanks.

Do my hands myself. Only do my toenails at a salon if I’m going somewhere nice in summer, otherwise I do them myself.

I do them myself once a week. Filing and new coat of nail polish.
