Ffs. It was named after the man who patented the cooning method used for maturing the cheese. Do they expect him to change his name too. (Although he's dead so we'll see how that goes) I buy it, I eat it and it's called coon cheese

I used to think this... but when I looked deeper into it changed my mind... apparently before they came up with that association with Mr Coon the cheese was called coon cheese and was wrapped in black wax paper with a print of an ape on it... check out the dates...

Yes, too many people are offended by everything. The world is full of snowflakes and people jumping on whatever movement is current at the time. 80% of them will not have anything to do with it in a weeks time. Take the BLM protests in Australia. People jumped onto the bandwagon with out thought, breaking rules and reatrictions. Where are they all now? The movements gone I doubt they continue online with susupporting he situation. Changine names of brands years and years old is pointless and stupid . People need to move on from the past, do better in the now and change things for the future. With out changing everything

People that get offended over petty things like this should just not buy it and put their energy into something worthwhile not renaming a bloody cheese. Craziness
