What will happen in September?

Answered 4 years ago

Obviously we will all be speculating, but im interested in other opinions, with the Job Keeper, Job Seeker and Corona Payment all approved for 6 months, what will happen after that? As far as i can see in 6 months we will still be in a similar position, and even if we are not and things have improved jobs wont just appear and business wont just open up again ready to hire, so what will happen? Have we just put off the inevitable for 6 months? Will we all be evicted, homeless, no money, no jobs by then? What are you thinking will happen? The Gov. has made it clear these payments cant and wont last forever...

I think the Corona payment will be extended by at least 6 months.

I think they will gradually re open things slowly infecting the population
In about 10-12 weeks things will re open one by one like they were closed.
But 6 months we will be mostly allowed to free trade again, unemployment will be up but it won’t be like it is currently, so there won’t be a need as much for the large payments. And it will go back down to what it should be at

Yeah what it should be at. I found it slightly annoying that once the government realised it’s impossible to live off the regular JobSearch amount they doubled it!
I was left with less than 100 fortnight after paying rent when I found myself on JobSearch a while back. That’s not much for bills and food

Unfortunately No one knows what is going to happen. I myself, am so frightened but I am holding on to every little bit of faith that I have, that we're going to be ok
