Kids will still go out and do shit after school finishes - whether you label it at schoolies week or not.
Cancelling schoolies week is basically taking away all of the safety nets and police protection that these kids are getting. It's a far safer environment down there at the moment and that's thanks to the organizing and supervision.
Kids are going to go out and party and drink if there is not rules against it!!
