Cigarette craving
Answered 2 years ago
Used to smoke but less than 8-10 a day. Haven't in about 18 months. Currently 20 weeks pregnant and all I can think about is smoking! I keep dreaming I'm smoking! Have other "ex"smokers experienced this and what did you do?

I reminded myself of the horrible taste, stink in my clothes, hair & skin & the yukky feeling it gave me. Then take a deep breath & remember how good I feel not smoking. It might not stop the actual craving but it definitely stopped any desire to act on it.
These days I can't get far enough away from smokers as the smell makes me sick.

Yes I have. What I do whenever I crave is remember that if I have even one it will be like that again and again. I use it to my advantage. If that fails, a rubber band on the wrist and flicking it until the craving stops works for me, itβs associating pain with the craving and it usually stops it for a longer period of time than not doing it.
