Relax! Dress neat but make sure you feel comfortable and confident, don’t wear heals if you can’t walk in them for example.
My husband is often the interviewer and he discusses possible candidates with me. The main things he looks for in a new employee is whether their personality will be a good fit with rest of his team and if they’re trainable and willing to learn. It’s not always about what you know but whether you’re honest about your abilities and willing to do further training if required.
Good luck!

Sorry only just saw your response now. Depends on how nervous. He can usually tell if someone’s just nervous and says a few dumb things he can overlook Vs someone who just says dumb things. He usually does a pre interview phone call or 2 before a formal interview, which I guess would settle the nerves for a lot of people.

You lack self confidence. Tell yourself that you are worth it and you are a great hire. Prepare your resume. Write down before you get there answers to these questions. Why do you want it ? What can you offer them? What skills you bring and how are they relevant?

I was put forward for a role and I wasn’t sure - a bit like you lacking self confidence. The recruiting firm got me to write answers down to these questions and submit them to him before he presented me for an interview with his client. It was the best preparation/ I got the job and I’m so happy and grateful.

Good luck - invest in yourself

I know this feeling. It doesn't really matter what we tell you, you'll have to calm down on your own. Research the company. Figure out what you will wear, how to get there, where to park. Figure out what to say when they ask you stupid questions like what's you greatest weakness. Don't sweat it too much you'll either get it or you wont. Good luck.

Great advice! Yes be there early or nearby so you aren't rushing for sure.

Think of some questions you may want to ask them too. It's about them seeing if you are the right fit, but you want to see if you can work with these peeps too.

All the best OP!

No matter what job you're going for an interview for whether it be McDonald's, Woolworths or an office job, you should dress nice and respectable. It'll show you've put in effort and that you want to make a good impression. Would they be more likely to hire the person who shows up in their daggy clothes or the person who comes in looking nice and presentable? When/ if you get hired and aren't doing well ask for help and guidance to help you get better at whatever you may have trouble with. Always better to ask for help than leave it be and keep doing badly or whatever and end up in the bad books. Good luck!

One thing at a time. Deep breath. They obviously think you’re worth interviewing!
