Does Jade work as a middle name for the name Jamie?

Answered 4 years ago

Last name is C***by, two syllables. Need a middle name to go with Jamie. Mine, my sister, and my mum's middle name is jade, but I just don't know if it works with Jamie. A second middle name being considered is Lee, but Jade is first preference

I don’t know why people are so worried about middle names, when do you ever call your kids by their first and second name?
We didn’t give our kids middle names. Just straight first name surname.

Name your baby what you want. The middle name never comes up only on really important docs. If the name jade means something to you f*%k everyones opinion n use it 😊

It has a bit of an adult-entertainment sound to it. Sorry, I'm not meaning to offend, its just the way it sounds to me. And I'm only one person. So it doesn't make my opinion right.

Jamie Jade Crosby doesn't have a ring in my opinion but I'm not naming your baby so you do what you feel works for you ☺

No offence but I think it sounds a bit bogan but it is your baby so you choose what you feel is best. What about Emily Jade, Annabelle Jade or Amelia Jade? I think a different letter for the first name suits better

The syllable thing is rubbish. Our surname has 2 and so does my husband and our 5 kids

I don’t think it matters if the name doesn’t sound right. nobody will be calling her Jamie Jade. Personally i prefer Jade to Jamie as a first name.

If your surname is two syllables the first name should NOT be two syllables. Jade is fine. Jamie is not. Also as your last name ends in an "eee" sound "bee" don't end the first name with the same. My daughter has a 3 syllable name ending with an eee sound. My sound has a one syllable name with an "or" sound. We have a two syllable last name ending with an "in".

How set are you on Jamie? I mean, the Jade part is obviously a family thing so you want to stay with tradition so would you consider an alternate first name?
Jamie Jade does sound a bit porn-ish
