My partner and I grew up with alcoholic parents so that really changed the way you look at alcohol. We don’t need it to get through our day.

Yes to this. I hate when people say I'm boring because I don't drink. But they have no idea how any experience I have of alcohol has been NOT fun. And if explain that they still say that I'm the one doing it wrong. No way, I enjoy life completely alcohol free, it's not something I need to wind down, or take the edge off, or to have fun with. Maybe everyone else is doing it wrong? 😊

Exactly me. We're considered boring for not reaching for alcohol. I drink maybe a couple of glasses if wine a year.
The thing is, DH & I just don't like the taste, the cost, or the way it makes us feel.
Ironically the same amount of money our friends spend on alcohol has taken us around the world & we've had amazing adventures they'll only ever talk about doing.
