I didn't know I was pregnant

I watched a show on Foxtel that tells the stories of woman that didn't know they were pregnant until they gave birth. Do you think this is possible or is it all fake?

I was almost 5 months before I found out I was pregnant, I didn't think you could be pregnant and still have a period, I was 20.. working really long hours and thought I had finally just gotten boobs. Lol. One of the girls at work made me take a test because I was sick and emotional all the time. I was skinny as a rake and literally had no baby belly until just before I was due. I can see how it happens.

A friend of a friend thought she had appendicitis at a football match one day. An ambulance was called and when she got to hospital they told her she was in labour. She had no idea. It was a big shock for her and her boyfriend - considering they had only been going out for a short time and he wasn't the father.

 Shit! Is this for real?

Yep, for real. She had no idea. She was a bigger girl (not huge) but she genuinely had no idea that she was pregnant. All her friends rallied around her to get things for the baby.

Did her bf stick around? ( sorry I'm a bit nosy lol)

They broke up initially but I heard later that they had got back together and had their own baby.

A colleague at work, his wife was 5 months pregnant until she found out they had been drinking and going out the whole time.

Happened to my good friend TWICE!! Came home from work with stomach pains and gave birth on the toilet the second time! First time found out when she was 7.5 months in. No bump. Has a tilted uterus.

Hello, I'd love to speak with your friend for a news story I'm doing. My email is [email protected] if you think you might be able to help put me in touch. Thanks!

My cousin found out with her first when she was 30 weeks along then found out at 25 weeks with her second. She would go months without her period anyway so didn't notice anything was strange and also didn't show...she just thought she was putting on a bit of weight lol

 Same thing happened to me

How do you not feel kicks tho? There can't be a baby who doesn't kick... At all...not once!

 I always wonder this too

That's exactly my question too. I mean, if you're a larger girl you may not notice. Or there's a tilted uterus. But my babies did karate in my belly and there was no mistaking it was a baby kicking!

It depends where the placenta is or how the baby is lying some women have the placenta at the front and can't feel kicks

My last pregnancy #3, little man hardly used to move because he was a massive baby. I hardly felt him, with my other 2 you definitely knew they were there. Lol

I was 5 months when I found out, when it's your first you don't know kicks are kicks unless your pregnant. I thought they were just my stomach going crazy from feeling ill.

It's strange how similar baby kicks feel to a disturbed tummy. I'm lactose intolerant and sometimes the wind is just mental in there. Like calm the heck down belly, you'll startle the uterus!

 some women think its indigestion

I get indigestion and I've been pregnant twice, totally different feeling lol

I have a low lying placenta and haven't felt anything really.

A friend of mine has just had her 4th, this pregnancy was the only one that she was really aware of the movements and kicks. She'd been blown away watching my stomach during the later stages when you get a full on elbow or foot lump, because of her tilted uterus and the placenta positioning, she hardly felt them.

Depends how uterus and placenta sit
Even aftr i found out at 27 weeks i struggled to feel definate movement till 30 plus weeks

My mum was in her mid 40's and went to the doctor with various symptoms. Was told she was going through early menopause given her age and symptoms. She ended up giving birth to me a few months later. She was really surprised that she didn't have menopause but a baby instead. Especially since she'd been told she was infertile and had tried for a baby for over 9 yrs before that with no luck. Yep, it can happen.

I think its possible for a tall, larger person. I'm only 152cm and could never not know I was pregnant, it was so uncomfortable from the 28 week mark on. And I was massive with all 4 of my kids, showed from 12 weeks on, they had nowhere to go but out !

I'm a size six generally even after bub two and now I'm just pushing an 8 I'm almost 30 weeks. I have a low placenta and I'm only five ft.

A good friend of mine found out at 7 months... I think they are totally legit

i had severe morning sickness with both pregnancies (so i knew earlier rather then later that i was pregnant)- but with my first people didnt know/couldnt tell until i was at least six/seven months because i had absoloutely no bump! (and i was a tiny size 6/8). if people couldnt tell i was pregnant, i can understand how larger women dont know they are pregnant until much later- especially if they dont get awful morning sickness. the other symptoms though; sore boobs, sore back/hips and strange cravings would be suspicious though!

Some women don't though, my first pregnancy if I didn't know I was pregnant I would have know. I didn't show till 6 months either and the only give away was no period if I hadn't of missed my period I could well have found out very late. I had NO symptoms what so ever

I get weird cravings and sore back and boobs all the time. I only get normal cravings like chips with tomato sauce when I'm pregnant. When I'm not pregnant I crave chips chocolate sauce pickles and mustard.

Gosh, I knew a week after conceiving that I was pregnant, I can't imagine not knowing for all or the majority of my pregnancy! I need 9 months to just mentally prepare

Yep my Aunt had my cousin in the toilet have no idea she was pregnant

Yep, a friend of mine (third pregnancy) found out at 34 weeks. Big shock for everyone....
