Isn't that for working with children?

 Yes
I am confused why will the organisation apply for 5

 Maybe an extra safety measure

It’s standard. Everyone in health care regardless of what sector they work in has to have that check

Thought if you work with elderly people you should only get aged dcsi

 Not all 5 checks

I work with elderly but don't know what this is? Can you elaborate? Perhaps it's just company policy

I was told it’s to increase your chances getting a job

There are different types of checks. Disability, elderly, vulnerable peipke and children. Plus police check

Why all 5 to work s with elderly

To ensure safety of the residents and clients! Look at all the dodgy people in the media atm. Plus if you are getting your certificate 3 in ages care you can use that to gain employment in disability etc. if you have nothing to hide get them as it does increase your chances of employment

I only want to work with elderly people

Regardless it’s looks better on your resume having all of them, who is asking you to do so? If it’s a job agency you will be expected to get all of them and apply for all jobs available with your certification
