I kind of wish we would go into full lockdown, obviously with increase in testing there will be more cases. But if people were doing the right thing and socially distancing then numbers wouldnt be so high. So you have to assume that lots of people arent doing the right thing.

Agree, I think door to door testing regardless of symptoms and fines if you refuse

You'd think the big companies would have a heart and do free delivery for now. I mean, we're shopping in their stores

Good luck to everyone in Melbourne! Don't know how you do it and make sure the mummies or daddies stuck with the kids to try and find a spare moment for yourself or call your friends xx

Yep.
It’s fine. I work full time and have a part time evening job. Both considered essential work but both very different. Hubby still working part time because construction never closed down.
Schooling from home has been fine for my older teens because they are self motivated and I believe more geared to a faceless society where every interaction is done online. They still are in contact with friends daily.
The younger kids of my partners are a nightmare but they aren’t my responsibility... they are his. We have them 6 days a fortnight and quite frankly I am a bit tired of the words “I’m bored” followed by the notion I am supposed to entertain them in some way. When I was younger we all learned to entertain ourselves and my kids have my issue with this ... so I find it annoying.
I have stopped watching the news or reading the papers And have shut down Facebook because I think I am tired of only hearing about negative, disease and death and the morons running around with no facemasks on and barely a lick of smarts let alone enough of an education to dictate law to a police officer. Started running three times a week with my eldest son and have ordered those meal kit boxes so all the kids can have one night where they cook for everyone.

All in all we have been ok. However, I was unfortunate enough to be the person to find my elderly neighbour deceased in her property last week. Very sad. No friends or family. Was very independent and pushed back hard against community agency involvement due to some mental health issues ... so I checked on her once a week.
She really should of been in some sort of supported care facility that allowed her community access like a retirement village.

Very sad. Please do what you can to make sure vulnerable people around you are ok. It’s not always welcomed ... some do see it as an intrusion but keep friendly and have a chat.

Hubble and I working from home, one teen going to school and the other online. When it is sunny I dash outside and go for a walk. We have a fireplace and central heating and once the restrictions lift again we will organize a few weekends away. Am exercising online, we don’t love it but it is what it is.

I'm just glad it's winter and cold and rainy so not missing much by being stuck inside

Still working from home so it's not too bad. Husband the same.

Six year old did some school work this morning which was a win. I just wish it wasn't so darn cold.

It sucks but I'd rather be stuck inside for awhile rather then in ICU on a ventilator or dead. You're dead for a long time

Yes, we live in Melbourne. Not coping so well mentqlly right now. Simply because of the mental load of running a household, being locked down with small children, trying to home school as well as work home home a few days a week. It’s all just a bit too much for one person! Husband works outside the home every day.
