A friend of mine would do this. She would laugh about it. Some of us told her it wasn't a good thing. She did it because she always wanted to be in control of their relationship. She also thought she married down because she had a better work position and made more money (very intelligent in her field). She stopped showing him any loving attention and it sounded like they were housemates who had children together. I know they tried marriage counseling because he had had enough of having to beg her for attention.
Anyway, they split up in the end. He left her and she still bad mouths him for leaving the kids and breaking their vows. Still says she can't understand why he left.
I couldn't listen to it anymore.
She's still single two years later saying the same things. He's moved on and from what I've heard he's in a very loving relationship.
