Bloody phone.
If we moved in together. They won't make the child's father support his kids, but are happy to let my partner support us.

I have this argument with people all the time. We moved in together, both lost our pensions, he was put straight on to job seeker payment and now works his ass off to support me and our kids while I'm full time SAHM because of how young they all are and only getting a partnered payment, which is cut if he earns too much, but god forbid we ask for child support to go up. I get $16 a fortnight and he gets $8 a fortnight and neither of our exes see or have anything to do with the kids. It's so ridiculous

Its silly. We live separately, though clink do expect to be told if you are in a relationship even if you don't live together.

I saw a story on a current affair a couple of years ago, maybe she is referring to this.... That being said, I worked in a childcare centre in a low SES area a few years ago and there were a lot of parents who lived together, but on paper had different addresses and each had custody of one/ some of the kids so they could get full benefits. It was very common for one of the parents to say they lived with their parents and use that as their dody address. I worked their 5 years and never saw anyone get caught.

My in laws do this now. They have young children together, live together but she claims to live at another house and they both claim for one child each. It’s ridiculous.
