5 Natural Treatments for Acne

There’s no need to spend a fortune on your skin care products when you can make your own acne facial cleansers that work just as well and are probably even better for your skin and your health. Make these 5 Natural Treatments For Acne at home!

1. Pineapple Juice Cleanser

Pineapple juice is really effective in reducing the amount of pimples as it has anti-inflammatory properties and is a really good, but gentle dead skin exfoliant. Just mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice with enough bicarb soda to make a thin paste (you can also add a little water if necessary). After the mixture is ready wash your face with it massaging it into the pores. Finally rinse it off with lukewarm water.

2. Honey Cleanser

Honey is proven to have fabulous healing properties (it’s even used in hospitals to heal wounds!) Mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 2 tablespoons of milk in a medium bowl. Make sure you get a fine lotion you can easily apply to your face. Massage the cleanser on your face, concentrating on the blemished areas for 1-2 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water.

3. Oatmeal Facial Cleanser

This is a great deep cleanser – be careful on sensitive skin. Mix ½ cup of oatmeal with 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt in a bowl until you get a fine paste. Apply it to your face and massage it in for at least 2-3 minutes then wash it off with lukewarm water.

4. Oily Skin Cleanser

Mix 2 tablespoons of bicarb soda with either lemon juice or tomato juice. Add enough juice to make a thin paste and massage the face and neck area. Massage gently into the face and avoid the eyes (that would really sting!!).

Note: Please ensure that if you use lemon juice, that you rinse it off completely, as if it is left on the skin and then exposed to sunlight it may cause severe sunburn.

5. Egg White Mask

Beat up an egg white until really frothy and apply to your freshly cleaned skin.  Leave for 20 minutes to dry and sponge off gently with warm water.
