Ingredients

  • 1.33 cups Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 cup Caster Sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon ground
  • 1/2 tsp Bicarbonate Of Soda
  • 1/2 cup Sultanas
  • 1 cup Bananas mashed
  • 4 tbsp Skim Milk
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1/4 cups Pecans

Craving for a lightly sweet breakfast treat? Banana Oat Bars makes a satisfying snack and lightly sweet healthy breakfast on the go. This one is definitely a keeper!

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Mix together dry ingredients. Mix together bananas, egg whites, milk and vanilla in a separate bowl. Combine and beat all together.

  3. Lightly grease or line with a 23x33cm slice tin with baking paper and pour the mixture in.

  4. Scatter pecans over the top and bake for about 35 minutes.

  5. Cool and cut into bars. You can sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar if desired.
