So my partner is on about 90k a year and I’m on about 44k if that (childcare workers you can relate!!)
First year of our relationship I paid all bills on my own because he had so much debt
He only gave me half of the rent
All his debt is gone (besides the car) and he is currently paying the bills alone (I’m paying my half of rent stilll)he doesn’t save anything
Every pay he blows it all and puts nothing away
Any time he gets extra money it’s gone the next day
For example
Got his tax return
Went out and bought a blow up spa which is going to increase our bills by a lot (water and electricity)
We are expecting a baby in December and i finish work in 3 weeks and im already mega stressed out
He is always going on saying I wanna go away
I want to buy a house but how can we do any of these things if I’m the only one who is saving
I have 23k in savings and he has $2k
He was raised well off and always was on holiday and spoilt and always got what he wanted straight away
I was raised by a single mum and an alcoholic dad so maybe that’s why I want to save everything
