When Christmas morning finally arrives, you’re going to have your hands full for quite awhile.
First, comes the presents of course. Your kids will let nothing stand in the way of their march to the foot of the Christmas tree. Let them have their fun, and have some of your own while you’re at it. The first hour or two of Christmas morning is a joyful time no matter how old you are.
Once the presents are opened, the mess is cleaned up, and everybody’s a little hungry, have a full breakfast/brunch with the family and talk about all the things that you’re thankful for this holiday season. It’s important to remember that Christmas isn’t about the gifts so much as the time spent with family and the memories that you create during this time. After brunch, you’re left with a whole afternoon with nothing planned. What are you going to do?
How about some sports and outdoor activities!
Get outside with your kids and enjoy the weather with some fun athletic games. Badminton is a great game that everybody can enjoy. You can find inexpensive badminton sets at most sporting goods stores.
One of my personal favorites is called baseball golf. You only need a baseball or any other type of all and a little bit of space. The point of the game is to roll the ball towards an object, which could be a tree, a post, or anything you have around. You have to try to hit the object in as few rolls as possible, but the trick is that if your ball rolls past the object, you have to go back to the starting point.
Here are other outdoor Christmas Day activities that your kids will love!
This obstacle course is not only enjoyed by the whole family but it teaches kids discipline as they try their best not to ring the bells.
Twist your way to fun with the whole family! This laughter-filled game will also test your body’s flexibility.
Exercise your minds too with this educational lawn game for everybody.
Another mind game that’s not just fun but will help improve your memory.
