Everything You Need To Know About Being Induced

There are also natural home remedies which are said to induce labour. These methods should only be used when you are full term to ensure that your baby has the best possible start to life.

Remember the baby does not know what date it is supposed to make its grand entrance into the outside world. While the baby is in the womb, it is growing stronger, the lungs are fully developing and it’s receiving the required amount of oxygen and nutrients to aid its development. You must know though that none of these methods will actually work unless your cervix has begun to dilate:

Walking

Carefully think this one through. It is common during labour to actually shit yourself literally. Do you really want to add last nights special from the local curry house to the mix?

Have Sex

Apparently for some women this is still appealing when they are full term. Go them I say! As for me I couldn’t think of anything more uncomfortable and just too much energy required.

Acupuncture is growing in popularity in the lets get this labour show on the road stakes. Massage, Teas and other homeopathic remedies can be helpful in inducing labour. ALWAYS ensure though any treatment you seek, is done by a licences practitioner who is experienced in dealing with pregnant women.

Just remember, all pregnancies are to a point unpredictable and so too are labours.

There is no ‘proper’ way that you must go through labour – as long as the end result is your heart melting new born baby in your arms, and you are both well, its been a grand success.
