Man Cave Must Haves

5 min read

Does your man have a man cave?

Every man needs to have a space, big or small, that he can call his own. Your man’s personal space does not have room for your Pinterest-worthy corners and Instagram-worthy surfaces. They just need the basics – their man cave must haves! The basics, however, need not be boring pieces. There are ideas and we begin with the ones here.

A treasure chest for his goodies is a good idea, but a barrel is even better. Keeping the drinks cold and within reach is on top of every man’s must-have list. It’s the perfect company for game nights and the weekend “big boys’ night.” His friends will love it, too, and it will keep them in. No more worrying about him leaving the house to have fun, just keep in mind that the other boys will love being in your house, too.

A man cave is not a man cave unless it has a complete entertainment system. Better yet, a spruced up home theatre that will make him feel like he’s sitting in his own dreamland. It’s a gorgeous way of spending movie nights with the fambam or friends.

You know how bottle openers just mysteriously disappear from your kitchen sometimes? The classy solution is a screwed-in, wood-based vintage bottle opener that would not only leave your openers peacefully where they should be, it will also give his space a distinctive look. It comes with a neat bottle-cap cradle and that means keeping ’em caps in one place.

Having a man in the house guarantees the presence of those fine whiskey bottles. A Jack Daniel’s bottle, once empty, is the perfect replacement for those boring hand-washing soap bottles. It’s an eye candy in the washroom and you know it will keep him coming back for more”¦hand washes.

In every man lies a little boy who secretly wants his favourite toy nearby. And we’re not talking about a miniature; we’re talking about a life-size character that stands over his refrigerator. Darth Vader will do a good job reminding him how he keeps coming back to the dark side.
