Dad Accuses Daycare Worker of Abuse After His Son’s Face Was Scrubbed So Hard

A father was furious after seeing his son’s face red and scabbed when he picked him up at daycare.

Dad Agustin Luna picked up his four-year-old son, Agustin at Little Angels Preparatory school in North Carolina in the US and was shocked to see his son’s face red, scabbed and bruised.

“Seeing my son like that, that was terrible,” he said.

He said his two sons were playing with markers and had scribbled on each other’s bodies before going to daycare in the morning, and he didn’t have enough time to wash off all the markings.

Mr Luna, a single father-of-two, said he told the workers not to worry because he will clean the boys when he got them home. However, at around lunchtime, he said he got a call from a teacher in the daycare. “She says she washed Agustin’s face. She says it’s going to be a little bit red, I put medicine on it, I put Neosporin,” he said.

However, when he saw his son, he got furious what “a little bit red” looked like on his son. He asked his son what happened and he told him that the teacher “scrubbed it with a brush, wiping, and then a paper towel.”

He immediately took his son to hospital but the condition seemed to get worse.

An employee at the daycare centre said the teacher was only trying to help and that Mr Luna had blown the situation out of proportion.

Yet, Mr Luna reasoned: “No kid four years old deserves to be hurt like that.”

Now, Mr Luna wants someone to be held accountable for what happened to his son.

He is now accusing the employees of physical abuse and being aggressive when cleaning his son’s face. He said that police told him a detective will contact him for an investigation. No charges had been filed Wednesday night.

Mr Luna said he has since found a new daycare centre for his sons.
