A mother has shared the tragic moment she lost her baby at 21 weeks and posted a heartbreaking photo of her older daughter kissing her stillborn sister.

Melbourne lifestyle blogger Sarah Jane Young and her husband welcomed their daughter, Charlotte Rose Young on Tuesday morning, but were filled with grief over her death in hospital.

Charlotte was tragically stillborn, and her parents and older sister, Mia Grace, were only left with a few moments to create memories of her in emotional photographs.

In her Instagram account, Mrs Young wrote a candid post, which has now gained over 8,600 likes, about the loss of her daughter – and the heartache that followed was almost beyond words.

“While your little life was way too brief, in that very short time YOU have proven to me that a mother’s heart is NEVER, ever full.

“Our hearts are beyond broken and there will never be day that goes by where we don’t think about you – our sweet baby girl.

“What I wouldn’t give for a lifetime of your belly-ballet-ninja routines for hours on end again… In the words of your PoPo just a few days ago, ‘a mother’s love for her daughter is immeasurable’,” she wrote.

In another photo, Mrs Young cradled Charlotte in her arm for the last time as she was comforted by her husband while Mia Grace kissed her stillborn sister.

The glamorous mother-of-one who owns the blog, She is Sarah Jane, has revealed how her daughter’s death has taken a toll on her as she regained some strength to speak out about the traumatic experience.

“Waking up today with an even emptier heart,’ she said on Thursday.

‘The pain is worse… The distance from our baby girl is greater… The anger couldn’t be stronger… The seconds are longer and my world has stopped.

‘It’s hard to ever imagine smiling again and trying to be strong for our precious Mia Grace is so, so incredibly hard.

‘BUT… My blessings have been magnified tenfold and my amazement in a mother’s capacity to love and nurture her family is at its highest,” she wrote.

Her post has now more than 6,900 likes, as she added some inspiring words.

“Thank you all for your kind words, patience and understanding. I need some time out from the world.

“But if one positive thing can come from losing our daring Charlotte Rose, let it be the reminder to all that EVERYONE has a story.

“Never judge, never compare and just be. I look forward to brighter days… One day. I will live and love again for you my rose petal. Forever. I love you, mummy x,” she wrote.
