A true Authentic Butterscotch Sauce is not poured out of a tin.
It is made with love – and loads of butter. Perfect for a Sticky Date Pudding, over vanilla bean ice cream or even as a syrup for a delicious milkshake, butterscotch sauce is delicious and will keep in a jar in the fridge for up to two weeks.

- 1 cup Thickened Cream
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Golden Syrup
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- Place all ingredients in a saucepan and stir over heat until sugar has dissolved.
- Boil for 5 minutes or until mixture is slightly reduced and has a rich brown colour.
