Slow Cooker Breakfast Omelette

Making a Slow Cooker Breakfast Omelette is good if you get up early before the hordes get up.  It does take about an hour and a half, but it is delicious.  Much better than doing it in a fry pan as the slow cooker almost ‘steams’ the food to perfection.

Method

  1. Preheat the slow cooker to HIGH.

  2. Place a piece of baking paper on the bottom.

  3. Butter the bread and place it butter side down on the bottom of the slow cooker, trying to put it together so there aren't too many holes.

  4. In a bowl beat the eggs together with the milk.

  5. Pour over the bread and top with the diced tomato, ham and lastly the cheese.

  6. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook for one and a half hours or until the eggs are set.

  7. Remove carefully from the slow cooker, cut into slices and enjoy!

Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • Slow Cooker Breakfast Omelette is not suitable to freeze.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the ham and add mushrooms.
