  • 1 Can Chickpeas, Drained And Rinsed
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Brown Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • 10 Curry Leaves
  • 1 Chilli Flakes
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 1 cup Baby Spinach Leaves (optional)

Spiced Chickpeas

Wandering through a market recently and as per most markets there are loads of multicultural foods to choose from. I love trying new things and flavours.

I came across these chickpeas so I set out to create my own.

These spiced chickpeas are exploding with flavour! with mustard seeds and curry leaves try out this deliciously spicy dish.

Method

  1. In a fry pan on a medium heat and add oil

  2. Stir Curry leaves and fry for one minute

  3. Add the onion, mustard seeds, chilli and salt and pepper.

  4. Add the chickpeas and cook them until warm.

  5. Optional - add spinach at the end and stir until wilted.
