It might not seem like the best place to go, but places of worship can actually be ideal places to meet a potential partner. For one thing, you’re likely to meet someone who has a similar moral and ethical code as you, as these are often governed by religion. It’s also easy for you to meet regularly at services while you’re getting to know them, if moving slowly is your style. Faith can be a really strong bond between people, and if you share the same faith, it’s easy to take a big step forward in a new relationship together.

10. Boot Camp

There is nothing wrong with getting fit, particularly if you do it in a fun, group setting like a boot camp. Attending a regular bootcamp, usually run over a set period like 6, 8 or 10 weeks might also be the perfect place to meet a potential partner. There’s a naturally open dynamic in the group of people, at their most vulnerable, working together to be stronger and fitter. Not to mention that bootcamp groups often meet outside of the group for social activities that are healthy as well. Bonus!

When we talk about old school bars, we’re talking about the exact opposite of the newer generation bars. If you’re fond of a good meal, particularly one that tantalises the tastebuds, a foodies club is a great thing to join. Clubs like these go basically on large group dates to sample the food and drink offerings of the area. They’re great vehicles for conversations and meeting new people, and are often filled with singles. After all, couples can just go out to new places together. Singles however often feel more comfortable at restaurants with others, which is how groups like these really took off.
