Kids Drive 35 Kilometres Alone For Help

After heading down the property’s well to install a water pump, the 29 year old father was overcome by fumes.

Their 28 year old mother went down after him however, she fell onto a ledge when the rope ladder broke rendering the pair stranded in the well.

Their two resourceful children aged 12 and 13 drove more than 35 kilometres from their remote property in NSW for assistance, after their parents became trapped at the bottom of the well.

Having been raised on the rural property, the children were adept at driving.

According to news, police say the courageous pair were unsuccessful in attempts to save their father in time as he has since died. The mother is in a serious condition at Orange Base Hospital suffering from shock and possible carbon monoxide poisoning.
