How to Make Caramelised Onions. Caramelised Onions are delicious on pizza with a little olive oil and some feta cheese, or on top of a steak sandwich nom nom nom

Method

  1. Slice the onions into rings and separate.  

  2. Place them in a frypan with the butter, and cook on medium heat until very soft (about 10 - 12 minutes).

  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top and add the balsamic vinegar.

  4. Cook a further five minutes or until caramelised.

Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • Store in a jar in the fridge (with a thin layer of olive oil on top to preserve) for up to two weeks.
