Home Remedies For Snoring

Improve your Sleep Hygiene

This doesn’t at all relate to cleanliness as you would think, but more about your sleep patterns. Ensure you are getting enough sleep every night for your body, age and lifestyle. Being overtired can lead to a deep sleep. During this time your body is uber relaxed and in turn your soft tissues relax and the rattling begins.  This one is an easy fix just take care of yourself. I know when you have young children this often seems like an impossible dream, but you will get there.

These seemingly easy fixes are the first step in ‘curing’ the snoring problem in your home. Whilst snoring is often the brunt of many jokes, it can be serious.

Sleep apnea is a condition often linked with snoring which limits the amount of oxygen you are acutally getting during your sleep.

If snoring is a problem in your household, try these ideas and if it persists, or the snorer is constantly tired, or is experiencing periods during sleep when they actually stop breathing it is recommended to see your doctor to address these issues.
