Butter is a great source of fat, which is perfect for growing babies, and cheese is a good source of calcium, so also not a bad idea.

We think of baby food as being typically bland, but there are some suggestions that too much bland food, or too many of the same flavours, might make babies fussier eaters as they grow up.
