11 Best Hangover Cures

When you have gone too far and scored yourself a hangover:

9. Soothing Sipper

Teas like peppermint and chamomile are great antacids, they may help settle an upset stomach. Mylant and Quick-Eze do the same job as well. Drinking ginger-ale is recommended to fight the nausea caused by the alcohol.

10. Rehyrdrate

One of the main causes of a hangover is dehydration, so drink lots of water and fresh juices. But be careful with acidic juices like orange, instead, opt for apple. Sports drinks such as gatorade and powerade, are highly advised as they help regain the glucose lost in the body.

11. Food choices

Eating a banana may help regain the potassium lost due to the alcohol. Ginger is great to treat nausea. Clear liquids such as soup are great for a weak stomach. Once your stomach is feeling better, opt for foods that are easy to digest such as toasts.

Remember…

A good cure for a hangover is plenty of sleep so get a few more hours in than normal!

Please note that “Hair of the Dog” and “Sweating it Out” in a spa or sauna do NOT work and are extremely dangerous, and could make you very, very sick (and I mean “Emergency Department sick”, people so don’t do it!!).

Please remember that these are home remedies widely recommended from a number of reputable health sources. Use them at your own risk.
