Everything that has glitter on it becomes lovely, right? But, how about your stretch marks?

Well, this woman knows how to turn something every woman hates into something we all adore.

Digital collage artist Sara Shakeel has created a sparkling way of looking at stretch marks — by turning them into glitter marks!

She has taken photos of thighs and stomachs with stretch marks and highlighted them with sparkly blue, gold and silver streaks — and the result? A fascinating picture of lovely-looking stretch marks — something we never thought was possible.

“I have never been proud of my marks,” Sara tells Yahoo Lifestyle, “I don’t have kids, but I still have stretch marks, which is not what a lot of people expect.”

“I never accepted them as something beautiful “” honestly, I was s*** scared of even uploading that artwork of mine, but my God! I am so happy I did!” she says.

Sara thought about giving life to stretch marks, knowing that most women look at stretch marks as ugly. “Embracing stretch marks is [needed] all around the world,” she added.

Her art is so mesmerising that it has caught the attention of body-positive blogger Allison Kimmey, who has previously referred to her stretch marks as ‘glitter stripes’.

Allison advocates love for one’s self, especially our bodies, and uses her glitter stripes as an example.

“These are my glitter stripes,” she writes on Instagram, “Etched into my being, telling my stories. Shining as bright as my heart. A living masterpiece.”
