11. Visual or Speech Disturbances

If you start having problems with blurry vision, ‘floating’ spots, double vision, dimming, headaches or flashing lights, you may be experiencing signs of pre-eclampsia.

12. Sudden Thirst 

If you become really thirsty and your urine is dark yellow, you could well be seeing signs of dehydration or gestational diabetes and need to see a medical professional as both can increase the risk of complications for you and your baby.

13. Dizzy or Faint

If you feel faint or are feeling dizzy, you may be experiencing low blood pressure which is quite common in early pregnancy. However, if you experience an episode of fainting, get checked out so the doctor can determine why and check that the fall didn’t hurt you or your baby.

14. Fever

If you develop a temperature of 37.5 without cold or flu like symptoms, be sure to call your doctor or nurse within the day. However, if it goes to 39 degrees or higher get to a doctor straight away, you probably have an infection. Not only can the infection spread but lasting high temperatures can harm your baby.

Although in most cases, everything is fine and or easily treated, don’t hesitate to get checked out. Even if you simply don’t feel right, head to your medical service provider and have a check-up.

It simply isn’t worth the risk to or your unborn baby to ignore it.
